New Client Disclaimer & Privacy Notice

I understand that Reiki is a simple, gentle energy healing technique that is effective whether undertaken in person or via distance for stress reduction, relaxation, and energetic recalibration. I understand that Reiki practitioners do not diagnose medical or psychological conditions, prescribe or perform medical or psychological treatment, prescribe medications or substances of any kind, or interfere with the treatment of licensed medical or psychological professionals. I understand that Reiki does not take the place of licensed medical or psychological care. It is recommended that I see a licensed physician or mental healthcare professional for any physical or psychological condition I may be experiencing. I understand that Reiki can complement licensed medical and/or psychological care I may be receiving but in no way supplants or supersedes it. I further understand that, while the body—including the energetic body—has the ability to heal itself, it may require multiple sessions in order to facilitate the degree of healing desired.

Privacy notice: Generally, no information about any client will be discussed or shared with any third party without written consent of the client or parent/guardian. The one exception to this policy is that, in the event the practitioner receives a report of abuse, neglect, thoughts of causing harm to self or other, or suicidal or homicidal ideation, s/he will forward this report to appropriate law enforcement and/or social services authorities.
